About Alice

Alice Baland, MA, LPC, RD, LD, is a psychotherapist and dietitian with extensive training and experience in treating disordered eating. She has been showing others how to become binge-free and have a healthy relationship with food and eating since 1981.

Alice is a former national spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association (ADA) and national and international food companies. She was the first spokeswoman for the ADA in the Dallas market (and the first dietitian in private practice in Dallas). She has been interviewed by major national and local television, radio, and print media across the United States, including CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal and the Dallas Morning News to name a few, sharing her enthusiasm for nutrition, fitness, and life balance expertise with millions of Americans.

Ms. Baland has championed nutritious eating and healthy lifestyles in a wide variety of settings, including corporate (EDS, TI, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, ARCO), hospitals, the VA, fitness centers, senior centers, athletes training for marathons and distance cycling events, middle school football, 3-5 year olds, and dozens of other interested groups and audiences on a wide variety of nutrition, mental health, marriage and family, and lifestyle topics.
